Dental Care for Kids

If proper oral hygiene is not maintained, your child may develop dental problems early. The food particles frequently get stuck at an early age in between the teeth and if not rinsed or brushed may lead to bacteria and infection eventually forming dents popularly called as cavities.

Follow these tips & tricks to keep cavities at bay:

• It is never too early to inculcate the habits of oral hygiene in kids. Brushing teeth twice daily and practising the correct technique of brushing can prevent dental problems.
• Visit the dentist at the first sight of a tooth in your kid’s mouth. Schedule regular dental appointments with your dentist and involve your child.
• Avoid giving your child unhealthy foods. Sugary and sticky foods may damage your child’s teeth.
• Reward your child for good oral care.
• Be a role model for your child. Kids imitate those around them.
• Avoid sharing utensils, sippers or other items with your kid. This helps to avoid sharing germs.
